Equity Compliance

It is the policy of the Charleston School District to maintain a learning and working environment that is free from discrimination based upon sex (Title IX), age (Age Discrimination Act of 1975, disability (Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973).  The District will take steps to provide a prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging discrimination denying students or employees their rights to equal treatment without regard to sex, disability, and age.  Under Section 504, all grievance procedures will incorporate appropriate due process standards.
